Stuart is the Principal Consultant and Founder of Sports Business Consulting. The business is the achievement of a long held ambition to provide an effective conduit between Sport and Recreational Services and the Commercial and Government sector. Sports Business Consulting began in 2010 with its first office space in the Snowy Business Enterprise Centre and now is co-located in the Cooma Squash and Sports Centre, Murray Lane, Cooma, NSW. The business was established by Stuart after completing studies in Sports Administration in 1995 and working in the Sport and Recreation industry for over 10 years.
Stuart has extensive experience in Marketing Services having worked as a Sponsorship and Marketing Manager with St.George Bank for over 5 years. In this time he worked on Sponsorship arrangements with the Australian Cricket Board, National Rugby League, St.George Illawarra Leagues Club, Triathlon Australia, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and other leading national organisations. Following travelling overseas for a career break he returned to Australia, married and began working with Outward Bound Australia as a Partnerships Manager in 2006. Upon leaving Outward Bound in 2010 with the birth of his first child he considered the time right to make the transition from employee and manager to business owner/ operator.
Stuart is an innovator and fully committed to finding the right results in the most professional manor for his business partners. He has a successful history of working with sporting organisations and being successful in fundraising, sponsorships and marketing services having received support from the likes of Telstra, National Australia Bank, Woolworths, Australian Football League, Australian Sports Commission, Perisher Blue, and International Management Group.
In his first twelve months of operations Stuart has established a strong client base with National, Regional and local sporting / community organisations as well as commercial and government representation. Sports Business Consulting’s clients include NSW/ACT Australian Football League, Southern General Practice Network, MEND Australia, www.snowmuchmore.com.au, Aussport Australian Sports Commission, Active After School Communities, Cooma Squash Club, Cooma Squash and Sports Centre, Perisher Snowy Mountains of Music Festival, Cooma Rodeo, Cooma Monaro Race Club, Merimbula Cricket Club, Monaro District Cricket Association, Cooma Basketball Association and the Perisher Resorts Chamber of Commerce.
Stuart’s experiences in marketing, and sponsorship services and dealings with leading industry groups and organisations gives him a comprehensive knowledge of the modern Australian Sports Business marketplace and a familiarity with best practice. Stuart is 35 married to wife Gemma and has a daughter Leilani and lives in the NSW Snowy Mountains and enjoys AFL, Golf, Cricket, Skiing, and Travelling.
