The Cooma Basketball Association received news this week that a new entrance, ramp and toilet for people with a disability along with a storage room had been approved by council. The council will provide $23,200 towards the cost with $25,000 coming from a State Government Grant obtained by the basketball. Construction will commence in early 2014. Basketball for people with a disability is played on Tuesdays and the Canberra wheel chair basketball has indicated it would like to come to Cooma for demonstration games later in the year.
